Welcome to the 2023 application for Solar Power World’s Top Solar Contractors list. A PDF version of the application is available for your review before beginning the application process. The application must be completed in full at time of submission. There are no options to save and return to the application at a later date.

The deadline to apply for the 2023 Top Solar Contractors list is Friday, May 26, 2023.

Application Information
All applicants must submit documented proof of installations. Data must be submitted to support your claimed kilowatt installation number. Please provide the following information in an Excel document about each of your company's 2022 completed projects:
1. Project size (DC kilowatts)
2. Project location (city, state)
3. Project completion and/or utility approval date (between Jan. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2022)
4. *Market (if applying as a "Both Residential and Commercial" contractor (See FAQ page.))
5. *Storage capacity (kWh) of associated energy storage system (to be considered for Solar + Storage Installer list)
For subcontractors unaware of project commissioning or utility approval dates, please include your work completion date along with the name of the general contractor or project owner, so we have secondary information to assist in verification. For off-grid submissions, please provide work completion date and any secondary information to assist us in verifying numbers.

Please note, your provided information will not be used for any other purposes or provided to anyone else for solicitation. Your information will be destroyed after your number is verified.

Five (5) documents or datasets may be submitted with applications to show 2022 projects, although we require at least one Excel document. If you have any questions or feel you cannot complete this action, please contact our editors immediately at topsolarcontractors@wtwhmedia.com. Data must be submitted at the time of your application. We will verify your numbers with state interconnection records, utility records and an advisory board. We have the right to remove companies from our list if we feel they have exaggerated numbers or cannot adhere to our data request.

- The 2022 list can be found here and may be helpful with comparing previous years’ kilowatt and other numbers.
- All information collected during this application will only be used for editorial, research or event purposes.
- Please see our Solar + Storage Installer list FAQs for further explanation on information required for that sublist.
- A follow-up email will be sent after we receive your application if you wish to be considered for any 2023 Top Solar Contractors awards that will be featured in our magazine, online and on stage at our annual gala celebration. Information about the awards can be found on our FAQ page.
